Right out of the gates - I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed in myself for falling behind with my blog. I got off to a great and thought it was going to become a regular thing, but life happened and the blog got pushed aside. Now, I'm not going to make any sweeping resolutions that I'll post more, but I do plan on churning out some more content in 2019. Before I get to my plans for the new year, I'd like to share some of my favorite moments from 2018.
5) Traveling with Haleigh Kate
There were few things I loved more in 2018 than traveling to new places with my beautiful fiancee. We made our way from the mountains of Arkansas to the Arch in St. Louis. I even had a chance to take her to my small hometown in North Dakota.
4) Surprising Jordan & Matt for their birthday
In late January - I decided to take an impromptu trip to Phoenix to surprise two of my best friends. I colluded with Jordan's superstar significant other (Sarah) to make the surprise happen. It was a short trip, but well worth it, and one I'll never forget.
3) Buying a new car
I am not an impulse buyer. Never have been. But one day I walked into a car dealership and all that went out the window. I thought I was just going in for a test drive and left with a new ride. It was a long, stressful day, but an experience I'm glad I had. Having a car payment isn't fun, but the bluetooth sure is!
2) Becoming a Godfather
In early spring - I became the Godfather to this little bundle of joy. Emerson is the daughter of my lifelong best friend and the cutest damn thing in the world. I made sure to spoil her with loud gifts this Christmas and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
1) Proposing to my best friend
Nothing can top the moment Haleigh Kate said 'yes' to the big question. I took her to our favorite park and got down on one knee. It was the most terrifying and glorious day of my life. Thankfully a stranger caught this moment for us to keep forever.
Safe to say - 2018 was a pretty big year for me. Thankfully, a majority of those moments were positive. I can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for me. How about y'all? How was your 2018? What are your expectations for 2019?
